Cry Savage Tears

“When a man wants to murder a tiger he calls it sport;
when a tiger wants to murder him he calls it ferocity.”

~ George Bernard Shaw

Eight days before Christmas, Kayla Halcro, 35, the daughter of billionaire, William Halcro, takes a friend to visit The Preserve, a research facility located in the wilderness of northwestern Montana that is dedicated to the preservation of critically endangered Siberian tigers. They discover the entire staff has been murdered and six tigers are missing. The efforts by Geordie Traynor, 39, the sheriff of Flathead County, and Kayla Halcro to recapture the tigers are hampered by initial reports that a mountain lion was responsible for the first human fatality. It isn’t until a horrific attack by one of the tigers inside a passenger train that the full resources of the Army National Guard are made available to the sheriff. As the story progresses, many lives will be lost among both humans and tigers alike, and it is not clear whether the newfound love between Traynor and Halcro will survive.
